Dr. Kenneth Finkelstein, DO, FACOOG – Founder of Women’s Healthcare of Illinois


Dr. Kenneth Finkelstein is the founder of Women’s Healthcare of Illinois and has been caring for women in the Chicagoland area for over 20 years. He is a board certified obstetrician and gynecologist, specializing in urogynecology. Dr. Finkelstein treats women experiencing bladder control issues such as incontinence and frequency. He also does routine gynecologic care.
Dr. Finkelstein holds degrees from the University of Georgia and the University of Health Sciences College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kansas City, MO. He completed his obstetrics and gynecology residency training at Maccomb, Hutzel, and Riverview Hospitals, and the Michigan Health Center in Detroit in 1994. He previously served as Chairman of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Director of the Obstetrics and Gynecology residency program at Little Company of Mary Hospital. He was also chairman of Gynecologic Endoscopy at the Chicago Institute of Minimally Invasive Surgery. Dr. Finkelstein is a Clinical Associate Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Midwest University in Downers Grove and a Fellow in the American College of Osteopathic Obstetricians & Gynecologists. He is also a member of the American Urogynecology Society and the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists. Dr. Finkelstein is a certified da Vinci® robotic surgeon and national proctor, training other physicians in robotic surgery.
Dr. Finkelstein grew up in Georgia and has lived in the Chicago south suburbs since 1997. Dr. Finkelstein is very family centric. He enjoys having experiences with his wife and four children, such as traveling, cheering on the Chicago White Sox or playing a round of golf.
