Steven Daube, DO
Dr. Daube grew up across the Midwest, living in Indiana, Kentucky and Wisconsin before coming to Illinois. At the age of 22, after serious consideration about what he considered important, he decided he wanted a career in medicine so he could make a positive difference in people’s lives. He realized he enjoyed obstetrics and gynecology during a rotation in medical school. I truly enjoyed obstetrics and gynecology because it was at this time my first son was born and I was able to see first-hand what it took to deliver a baby. I realized I could combine my interest in surgery and family practice, Dr. Daube said.
My approach to care is to listen, ask questions, examine and then provide the most accurate and up-to-date medical information available, along with my professional judgement, to help each patient be a part of the decision-making process. Dr. Daube is married to a nurse practitioner. They have four sons. His many interests include the arts, literature, cooking and sports. His hobbies include sailboat racing and do-it-yourself home projects.
